SNMMI Summit on Patient Access to & Health Disparities in NM

The Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging is hosting its first Summit on Patient Access to and Health Disparities in Nuclear Medicine Procedures. COVID-19 has dominated the medical news including the pre-existing health disparities exposed by the pandemic. Conversely, news in nuclear medicine has been exciting and game-changing with the approval of imaging agents to help manage some of the most prevalent cancers, breast and prostate, and promising clinical trial results for radiopharmaceutical therapies, among others.

The goal of this meeting is to gather representatives from major stakeholders in the nuclear medicine and health equity spaces to identify and address any and all barriers that prevent patients from accessing high-quality nuclear medicine scans and therapies, including health disparities.
